Accountant – Accounts Payable Focus

About the role

ADSO LLC is looking for an Accountant with a strong focus on accounts payable to join its Dubai office. The role combines day‑to‑day payable processing with broader general‑ledger, tax and reporting responsibilities, supporting the finance team throughout monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries and manage tax filings in line with IFRS.
• Prepare monthly payroll, coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and produce required MIS reports.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to obtain favourable terms.
• Support internal and external auditors by providing documentation and explanations.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserve analysis and inter‑company transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3‑5 years of finance experience in the UAE, preferably within a general‑contracting environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
