Accountant – Construction Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and financial reporting experience within the construction / fit‑out industry, with hands‑on experience using Xero and good knowledge of UAE tax and payroll requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day‑to‑day financial operations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and MIS reports.
• Prepare annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage monthly reconciliations for banks, customers, suppliers, intercompany and control accounts.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and cash‑flow reports.
• Monitor project costs, billings, variations and project cash flows.
• Support project P&L and balance‑sheet reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, cash and petty cash.
• Oversee payroll, WPS, salary payments and employee‑related financial records.
• Ensure timely VAT return preparation, filing and FTA compliance.
• Support corporate tax compliance, calculations and filings.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in the construction / contracting / fit‑out industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control and UAE tax regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with Xero.
• Experience handling payroll and WPS.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills with attention to detail.
