Accountant (Dubai)

About the role

EdNex Educational Aids Trading LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, and hands‑on expertise with Zoho Books.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, process AP/AR, and prepare invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
• Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and support VAT filing.
• Coordinate supplier payments, manage payroll, and handle employee reimbursements.
• Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Support internal and external audits and perform inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE accounting standards, and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (mandatory).
• Hands‑on experience with Zoho Books (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Preference for candidates currently based in the UAE.
