Accountant – Finance & Payroll Specialist

About the role

Star Services is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its Finance Department in Abu Dhabi. The role combines accounting, payroll, purchasing and financial reporting responsibilities, offering a chance to work in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial transactions in line with company policies.
• Process payroll, employee benefits and related administrative tasks.
• Handle purchasing activities, including RFQs, comparative statements and purchase orders.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, budgets and projections.
• Analyse financial data to support business decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate financial records using ERP systems and spreadsheets.
• Support budgeting, cost control and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/finance, including at least 5 years in payroll/benefits administration and 3 years in purchasing.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with excellent written and verbal English communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP system).
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet proficiency.
• General ERP package experience.
