Accountant – Hotel Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team at a hotel in the UAE. The role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations, including payables, receivables, revenue accounting, reconciliations and general‑ledger activities, while assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing and UAE VAT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process supplier invoices, payment requests and expense claims.
• Record and reconcile daily hotel revenue from PMS, POS and accounting systems.
• Prepare customer and corporate invoices, monitor receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
• Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, revenue and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules.
• Support preparation of management accounts, financial statements and audit documentation.
• Assist with payroll‑related entries, staff benefits and inventory cost accounting as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE hospitality or real‑estate sector.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT; exposure to UAE Corporate Tax is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Zoho Books (or similar ERP) and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems, Property Management System (PMS) and General Ledger.
• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Reconciliations.
• UAE VAT and familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax.
