Accountant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team immediately. The role involves processing accounting transactions, maintaining audit‑ready documentation, and supporting month‑end closing activities in a fast‑paced, transaction‑heavy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions after review, coding, and verification of supporting documents.
• Post monthly journal entries within agreed timelines and maintain a clear audit trail.
• Book vendor invoices, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare cheques, post them in Microsoft Dynamics, and create temporary vouchers as needed.
• Safeguard and organize hard‑copy accounting vouchers according to company procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing schedules, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Support senior accountants in responding to audit queries and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Contribute to month‑end closing and other finance‑related administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience, including 1‑2 years in the UAE.
• Experience in the car‑rental industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, well‑organized, and able to follow standard processes.
• Good coordination and communication skills with internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Working experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Understanding of accounting vouchers, documentation flow, and internal controls.
