Accountant – Legal Entity Liquidation

About the role

The DSV group is seeking an Accountant to lead the end‑to‑end liquidation, dissolution and deregistration of legal entities across multiple jurisdictions. Based in Dubai, you will work closely with internal finance, tax, legal and compliance teams as well as external advisors to ensure timely and compliant closures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of entity liquidation projects, including preparation of trackers, project plans and status reports.
• Coordinate approvals, settle liabilities and fulfil statutory requirements for each entity.
• Liaise with Finance, Tax, Treasury, HR, Legal, Compliance and Operations to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Engage external service providers, corporate secretaries, auditors and government authorities as primary point of contact.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain accurate liquidation files and support related audits.
• Oversee balance‑sheet clearances, account closures and inter‑company settlements.
• Track liquidation costs against budgets and report key performance indicators to management.
• Identify and implement process improvements, develop SOPs and maintain process documentation.
