Accountant – Logistics Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join Al‑Futtaim Logistics in Dubai, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role supports the People Transport and General Transport departments, handling commercial and financial activities for both local and international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor billing and direct costs for vehicle trips.
• Ensure timely billing and dispatch of invoices.
• Capture direct costs accurately and promptly.
• Control fleet requirements, vehicle off‑road versus maintenance costs, and conduct analytical spend reviews.
• Prepare weekly and monthly business reports, including sales figures, credit notes, and KPIs.
• Produce the Commercial Business Report/Information Pack for management.
• Generate customer‑wise, salesman‑wise, and top‑customer reports.
• Prepare RFQs, quotes, and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Compile monthly management accounts such as vehicle running expenses and profitability analysis.
• Analyze financial impact of emerging trends and ensure appropriate insurance and risk coverage for cargo and vehicles across UAE and GCC.
• Deliver ad‑hoc business reports and analyses as required by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, MBA, AACA, CPA or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of finance experience, including 6 years in freight management and commercial/operation support.
• Strong understanding of costing, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Ability to develop and introduce operational reports and analyse financial data.
