Accountant – Payables

About the role

The Accountant – Payables will manage supplier payments, maintain accurate financial records, and support the broader accounting function. You will ensure timely invoice processing, VAT compliance, and robust internal controls within a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record local and international supplier invoices accurately and on time.
• Manage payment schedules in line with agreed terms and cash‑flow requirements.
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payment proposals.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations with the Stores team.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, pre‑payment schedules, and month‑end depreciation entries.
• Handle VAT‑related transactions, including Input VAT and Reverse Charge Mechanism.
• Manage petty‑cash, bank payments, receipts, and cheque processing.
• Conduct regular bank and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Support audits by providing accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE FTA regulations, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS standards and UAE FTA regulations.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
