Accountant – Tax & Treasury (UAE)

About the role

The finance function of a leading global organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Accountant specialized in Taxation and Treasury. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and treasury management, using SAP as the primary ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, perform reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Manage UAE VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support Corporate Tax reporting, filing and related compliance activities.
• Monitor tax filing deadlines, identify risks and mitigate penalties.
• Oversee treasury functions such as cash‑flow monitoring, banking transactions and liquidity management.
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets and management reports in line with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and support audit processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting, tax and treasury processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE/Dubai market.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Proven experience in treasury management and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA is preferred.
