Accountant – UAE VAT & Tax Specialist

About the role

Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Group of Companies is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on managing core accounting workflows, maintaining balance‑sheet integrity, handling VAT compliance, and supporting period‑end financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day general ledger operations, voucher posting, and transaction processing.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, trial balances, and management accounting reports.
• Process VAT returns, maintain tax invoices, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Execute bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations to maintain ledger accuracy.
• Utilize ERP platforms and spreadsheets to keep organized digital accounting records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience within the UAE.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and accounting software packages.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT & tax regulations and ability to join immediately or on short notice.
