Accounts Officer – Native Arabic Speaker

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation, a leading conglomerate in consulting, training and conferences, is looking for an Accounts Officer who is a native Arabic speaker. The role will be based in Dubai and focuses on managing daily accounting transactions and supporting financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial reports and management reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks and internal departments on finance‑related matters.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance and financial reporting.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CA or equivalent is an advantage.
