Adjunct Professional – Foundation International Year Zero (IYZ)

About the role

De Montfort University Dubai is establishing an Adjunct Professional Pool for its Foundation International Year Zero (IYZ) programme. The pool will engage qualified educators on a flexible, needs‑based basis to support foundation‑level teaching and academic development throughout the full academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver foundation‑level subject lectures and tutorials.
• Facilitate workshops and skills‑based modules that develop academic and study skills.
• Provide one‑to‑one mentoring and academic guidance to pre‑university students.
• Design, assess and evaluate coursework and other student deliverables.

Required profile

• Relevant academic or professional background, preferably with a Master’s or PhD.
• Experience supporting foundation or pre‑university students (desirable).
• Strong communication and student‑support abilities.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred education.

Required skills

• Curriculum design for foundation programmes.
• Assessment and evaluation of coursework.
• Workshop facilitation and student mentoring.
