Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II

About the role

POWERTECH, a centre of excellence for propulsion technologies, is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II to drive manufacturing process development, support new‑product‑introduction (NPI) activities, and help industrialise turbofan, microjet and piston engine programmes in a greenfield environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and improve machining and fabrication processes for rotating and structural engine components.
• Apply hands‑on expertise in turning, milling, multi‑axis machining, grinding, broaching, airfoil machining and welding.
• Create and maintain manufacturing routings, work instructions and process documentation.
• Conduct process validation activities such as first‑article inspection (FAI), capability studies and industrial qualification.
• Support NPI from prototype build through production ramp‑up, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Provide manufacturing feedback during design reviews, tolerance analysis and material trade studies.
• Interact with external suppliers for process reviews, part qualification and issue resolution.
• Offer shop‑floor support during trials and production builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in aerospace or propulsion manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with machining or fabrication of rotating and structural engine components.
• Experience supporting NPI and prototype manufacturing.
