About the role
SGS is seeking an Advanced NDT Technician to support its client ADNOC in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on performing advanced Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time‑of‑Flight Diffraction (TOFD) inspections on structural steel fabrications for oil & gas projects.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out NDT activities in accordance with client standards, approved procedures and project specifications.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and coordinate findings with client and project owner representatives.
- Ensure compliance with PCN PAUT and PCN UT standards (3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9).
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction projects within the oil & gas sector, focusing on structural steel fabrication.
- At least 5 years of post‑certification experience as an Advanced NDT Technician.
Required skills
- PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)
- TOFD (Time‑of‑Flight Diffraction)
- PCN Level II certification (including PCN PAUT and PCN UT 3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9)
- ASNT certification
