About the role

The Advisor Safety, Health and Environment will support AECOM’s commitment to delivering safe, sustainable infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. Working under direct supervision, you will apply environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine duties across a range of EHS disciplines to maintain compliance with ES&H standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
• Monitor workplace hazards and potential disease exposures, and report findings.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and complaints, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in the improvement of processes, designs, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.
• Support employee training, emergency preparedness activities and ensure the quality of EHS programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in safety, health and environment roles, with a focus on project supervision.
