Advisor - Safety Health and Environment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Advisor – Safety, Health & Environment to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive HSE management framework for our projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards while fostering a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and management systems aligned with UAE regulations and international standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work systems for full HSE compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, perform root‑cause analysis and produce detailed reports with preventive recommendations.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, training sessions and awareness programmes to promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, performance metrics and compliance documentation for internal and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors and external authorities to ensure continuous improvement of HSE practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE advisory or management roles, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of UAE occupational health, safety and environmental regulations and international best practices.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and investigative skills.
• Effective communication and training delivery abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
