AI Security Engineer

About the role

CPX Security is looking for an AI Security Engineer to design, implement and validate security controls for AI/ML services used by its clients. The role focuses on protecting data, models, APIs and infrastructure across the full AI lifecycle, primarily on Azure AI, Azure OpenAI and related cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of AI/ML assets, models, inference endpoints, agents and supporting pipelines.
• Conduct security reviews for Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning and approved third‑party AI platforms.
• Validate authentication, authorization, managed identities, API keys, secrets, network exposure and rate‑limiting controls.
• Implement least‑privilege RBAC, private endpoints, firewall rules, network isolation, encryption and secure secret storage.
• Assess AI data flows for PII/PHI and other regulated data, ensuring proper classification and protection.
• Automate security testing and remediation using CI/CD pipelines and security automation tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity engineering experience, including cloud, application or data security.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML platforms or agentic AI services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field; postgraduate security qualification is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Azure security/AI certifications (SC‑100, AZ‑500, AI‑102) are preferred.
