Air Conditioning Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join the engineering team at Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment across our hotel facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration assets.
• Inspect performance of refrigeration components, door sealing systems, defrosting mechanisms and automation of ice makers.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments and ensure routine cleaning of fan coil and air‑handling unit filters.
• Monitor air‑conditioning and chilled‑water system performance and cooperate with engineering colleagues to diagnose failures.
• Control venting of CFCs, oversee overhauls, check refrigerant and oil levels, and manage major repairs.
• Coordinate parts procurement with the engineering storekeeper and comply with local technical regulations, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an A/C Technician in a hotel or similar environment.
• Certification in HVAC or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, physical stamina and adherence to safety standards.
