Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Air Conditioning Technician to join the maintenance team at Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas in Abu Dhabi. The role involves installing, servicing and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems throughout the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration equipment such as freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan‑coil units and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Monitor performance of refrigeration components and air‑conditioning/chill water systems.
• Verify door‑closing mechanisms on walk‑in coolers and freezers and maintain defrosting and ice‑maker automation.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments and ensure routine cleaning of fan‑coil units and air‑handling filters.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to detect failures, set up system functions and control CFC venting.
• Overhaul HVAC and refrigeration equipment, check oil and refrigerant levels, and manage major repairs.
• Coordinate parts procurement with the engineering storekeeper and comply with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration maintenance or building services engineering.
• Previous experience in a similar HVAC/refrigeration role.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
