Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Air Conditioning Technician to join the maintenance team at Media One Hotel in Dubai. The role involves installing, servicing and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout the hotel.
• Inspect and verify door closing mechanisms on walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Maintain defrosting systems and automate ice‑maker operations.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments and ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air‑handling filters.
• Monitor performance of air‑conditioning and chilled water systems and cooperate with engineering colleagues to diagnose failures.
• Control venting of CFCs, oversee overhauls of equipment, and check refrigeration oil levels.
• Coordinate with the engineering storekeeper for parts procurement and ensure compliance with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration system maintenance or building services engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a hotel or similar facility.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to identify faults and rectify subsystems under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable and detail‑oriented.
