Aircraft Dispatcher

About the role

The Aircraft Dispatcher is responsible for managing the turnaround of all Etihad flights, coordinating with internal teams, government agencies and service providers to ensure safe, on‑time departures while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee flight turnaround activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to on‑time performance targets.
• Brief gate staff, crew, ramp personnel and other stakeholders on aircraft details, schedules, passenger and cargo loads.
• Lead Etihad and third‑party teams to anticipate and resolve issues, communicating changes promptly to all parties.
• Manage last‑minute operational changes, ensuring accurate Loading Instruction Reports and final Loadsheet documentation.
• Allocate delay codes and timings for off‑schedule departures to support performance analysis.
• Report turnaround events post‑departure, analysing accountability for delays.
• Perform load planning for various aircraft types in line with weight‑and‑balance regulations.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks around the aircraft according to company risk‑assessment procedures.

Required profile

• Secondary school (high school) education or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in customer service within aircraft dispatch, load control, ramp operations or airline operations.
