Alumni Officer

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is searching for an excellent Alumni Officer to join our team and contribute to building connections with our graduates. The ideal candidate will develop and implement alumni relations strategies that strengthen the bond between the university and its alumni.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute high‑quality activities and events on and off campus to increase alumni engagement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of alumni, including employment history.
• Act as an account manager to grow and sustain positive relationships with alumni.
• Provide pre‑graduation advice and support to current students.
• Prepare bi‑annual reports on alumni activities and present feedback to relevant university units.
• Deliver presentations about the university and ensure all alumni‑related digital material is accurate.
• Organise alumni fundraising initiatives and develop an annual budget for the department.
• Manage the Alumni Association and secure funding from various sources to support university advancement.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in education management or a related field from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in university alumni relations or similar roles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in Arabic and English and appreciation of cultural diversity.
