Anchor Operator – Shipping & Marine (UAE)

About the role

The Anchor Operator is responsible for handling anchoring operations on vessels operating in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires close coordination with the deck crew to ensure safe and efficient anchoring and mooring procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain anchoring equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor anchor deployment and retrieval, ensuring correct positioning and tension.
• Conduct regular inspections of anchor chains, winches, and related machinery.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations involving anchoring systems.
• Maintain accurate logs of anchoring activities and report any irregularities.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience as an Anchor Operator or in a similar maritime role.
• Educational qualification of 12th grade, Diploma, or I.T.I. in a relevant field.
• Eligibility to work in the UAE, with a preference for candidates from India.
