Animator

About the role

Emperor, a global employee-owned corporate communications and creative agency with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, is looking for an Animator. You will deliver high-quality animation projects that stay true to the brief, interpreting creative direction with originality and playfulness. You will also research, present your ideas confidently to colleagues and clients, and show evidence of the impact of your work.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in creating, rolling out and implementing animation projects.
• Build a full knowledge of clients and their brand and visual identity systems.
• Turn that knowledge into high-quality, creative animation executions.
• Extend concepts across channels and outputs, working with creatives in print, digital, moving image and copywriting.
• Learn and follow systems and processes, and manage files and versions carefully.

Required profile

• 3-5 years' experience.
• Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, transitions and typography.
• Ability to turn a concept or theme into a story, build storyboards and turn brand identities and static designs into motion.
• Experience creating content for campaigns, social, digital, presentations and film.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration and curiosity for new tools and techniques.

Required skills

• Compositing, masking, tracking and sound syncing.
• Understanding of video formats, frame rates, resolutions and delivery specs.
• Attention to detail, file organisation and efficient production workflows.
• 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender, and familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools, are a plus.
