Application Engineer

About the role

The Application Engineer will drive technical sales and provide after‑sales support for power generation solutions. You will work closely with customers, consultants and internal teams to design, specify and deliver sustainable diesel‑generator systems that meet tender and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer needs, conduct site visits and recommend optimal power generation solutions.
• Design and configure sub‑systems such as LV/MV switchgears, control panels, ventilation, fuel and automation systems.
• Perform simulation and sensitivity analysis to validate component selection and system performance.
• Prepare technical submittals, obtain approvals and present solutions to clients and consultants.
• Verify supplier proposals for compliance with project specifications and compile final Bill of Materials.
• Support the sales team with technical marketing material and cost‑optimized designs.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in power generation system design, preferably with diesel generators.
• Strong technical background combined with commercial acumen.
• Ability to conduct detailed site assessments and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and managing approval processes.
