Application Engineer

About the role

LEO Middle East FZE is seeking a motivated Application Engineer to join its technical team in Dubai. The role is ideal for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or a young engineer eager to build a long‑term career in pumps, water supply systems and fluid handling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Select suitable pumps and pumping systems based on customer and project requirements.
• Perform basic hydraulic calculations and pump selection.
• Prepare technical quotations, pump selection sheets, submittals and product documentation.
• Review project specifications to identify appropriate products and technical solutions.
• Provide technical support to sales teams, distributors, contractors and customers.
• Communicate with consultants and contractors regarding technical requirements.
• Coordinate with LEO’s factory and technical departments on product and application issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline; fresh graduates are welcome.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience is an advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.

Required skills

• Basic hydraulic calculations.
• Pump selection and sizing.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, pumps, motors and hydraulic systems.
• Preparation of technical quotations and product documentation.
• Ability to review project specifications and propose technical solutions.
