About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an enthusiastic Arabic and Islamic Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School, an American‑curriculum primary school in Abu Dhabi, starting in the academic year 2026/27. The role involves delivering high‑quality lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the school’s vision of a sustainable, innovative community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Arabic and Islamic lessons aligned with the American curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and present sessions catering to the full ability range of the class.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external professionals to support student development.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Education or Islamic Education (or related subject) with a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–2 years teaching experience in Arabic and Islamic subjects.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and residency in the Emirate of the school.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Target Tracker assessment system.
• Familiarity with CPOMS safeguarding platform.
