Arabic Teacher A – Cycle 1 (Primary) – British Curriculum

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah is seeking an enthusiastic Arabic Teacher A for Cycle 1 (Years 1‑3/4). The role involves delivering high‑quality Arabic language instruction that aligns with the National Curriculum for England and meets ADEK standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Arabic lessons for primary‑phase students.
• Integrate age‑appropriate pedagogical approaches and educational technology.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor, track and report student progress in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with the Head of Arabic Department and other staff to support curriculum goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS) strongly preferred.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, an ADEK Teacher Licence.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of full‑time Arabic teaching experience in a British‑curriculum primary setting.
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic (native‑speaker level preferred) and proficient English.

Required skills

• Expertise in age‑appropriate Arabic pedagogy for young learners.
• Proficiency with interactive whiteboards, learning platforms and educational apps.
• Strong classroom‑management techniques.
• Effective assessment, tracking and reporting of student achievement.
