Architect II

About the role

AL TARIQ is seeking an Architect II to lead the planning, design and oversight of new building projects, extensions and renovations for its technical services division supporting the UAE Armed Forces. The role involves long‑range facilities planning, ensuring compliance with quality, health‑safety and environmental standards, and delivering sustainable, energy‑efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review project planning documents to align with program scope and intent.
• Lead architectural design, construction and renovation projects from concept through completion.
• Ensure all activities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and in‑house teams to meet technical and contractual requirements.
• Prepare scopes of work, select architects/engineers and approve completed studies.
• Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual designs and alternative analyses for building systems.
• Monitor implementation of sustainable development and energy‑efficiency concepts.
• Perform periodic reviews of master‑plan progress and facility performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in architectural or engineering services delivery during project planning.
• Ability to assess consultant and contractor performance against contractual and technical criteria.
• Experience preparing contract schedules and supporting in‑house teams on new facility development.
• Knowledge of construction project proposal evaluation and facilities planning.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
