Architect II

About the role

The Architect II will lead all phases of architectural work for AL TAIF Technical Services, from concept through construction and renovation. This role ensures projects align with program scope, ISO quality, safety, and environmental standards, while supporting the UAE Armed Forces' land platform lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee construction of new buildings, extensions, and renovations.
• Develop and review project planning documents for consistency with program intent.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Support in‑house teams in defining project requirements, preparing scopes of work, and selecting consultants.
• Review construction proposals for technical soundness and sustainability.
• Conduct conceptual studies, preliminary designs, and alternative analyses for building systems.
• Perform periodic reviews of master‑plan implementation and major goal achievement.
• Provide expert advice to senior management and ensure confidentiality of company information.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering architectural or engineering services during project planning.
• Ability to monitor and assess consultants and contractors against contractual and technical requirements.
• Experience preparing contract schedules and supporting facilities planning in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Strong understanding of sustainable development, energy efficiency, and ISO management systems.
• Capability to participate in design reviews, define project requirements, and defend technical decisions.
