Architectural Designer

About the role

Studio Taraf, a design‑led studio in Dubai, is looking for an Architectural Designer who can bridge architecture and product‑scale design. The ideal candidate is confident in 3‑D thinking, conceptual development and visualization, and brings a solid understanding of construction and site realities. You will work closely with senior designers and consultants to deliver innovative solutions that respond to client briefs and site constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to design development from pre‑concept through schematic stages, with exposure to detailed design.
• Create strong 3‑D models, visualisations and design studies to clearly communicate ideas.
• Translate concepts into architectural drawings in coordination with the broader team.
• Design with awareness of construction logic, materials and site conditions.
• Support coordination with consultants and contractors as required.
• Participate in product, furniture or installation‑scale design when relevant to the project.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in architecture or design.
• Background in architecture with strong spatial and design thinking.
• Working knowledge of construction processes and site realities.
• Ability to move fluidly between concept, design development and coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper.
• AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
• Rendering software such as D5, Enscape, V‑Ray, Lumion or similar.
• Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign for presentations.
