Architectural Inspector – Civil Projects

About the role

AtkinsRealis is looking for a highly skilled Architectural Inspector to ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of civil architectural projects across Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to safeguard design integrity and construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of civil architectural projects to verify compliance with design specifications, building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Review architectural plans, drawings and blueprints to identify potential issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor construction progress and workmanship quality, flagging any deviations from approved plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and construction crews to resolve issues promptly.
• Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Provide guidance on best practices, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Perform site visits at various construction stages to ensure adherence to schedules.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to communicate updates, recommendations and resolutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience as an Architectural Inspector or in a similar role within construction or consultancy.
• In‑depth knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry standards for civil architecture.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork.
