Art Teacher

About the role

The Art Teacher will join Al Majd School in Abu Dhabi, delivering a vibrant visual‑arts curriculum that nurtures creativity, critical thinking and lifelong learning. Working under the Principal or Head of School, the role focuses on inspiring students of all ages while upholding the school’s ethos of excellence, innovation and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the richness of artistic knowledge, understanding and skills to students.
• Inculcate values of truth, justice, equality of opportunity, human rights, benevolence and compassion.
• Engage and motivate students to achieve beyond their expectations.
• Use subject knowledge, pedagogic and interpersonal skills to enthuse learners.
• Integrate ICT and new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
• Plan lessons that consider individual learning needs, styles, preferences and capabilities.
• Encourage students to become confident, independent lifelong learners.
• Maintain professional relationships and contribute to school improvement.
• Plan and deliver enrichment activities that complement the taught curriculum.
• Co‑operate on fair disciplinary practices and protect students from abuse, bullying and discrimination.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about student progress.
• Maintain confidentiality when interacting with parents and external parties.
• Model academic honesty and participate in department meetings.
• Contribute to after‑school activities and support community events.
