Assembly Production Technician

About the role

The Assembly Production Technician will join EDGE Group’s manufacturing team to assemble precision components and sub‑assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. The role demands strong attention to detail, technical aptitude and the ability to handle small, complex mechanical and electrical parts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of components and sub‑assemblies following engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions.
• Use and maintain precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and calibration equipment.
• Ensure assembled parts meet quality, tolerance and dimensional standards and complete final testing.
• Identify and report defects, non‑conformities or process issues to assembly leads.
• Maintain accurate production records, assembly documentation and inspection reports.
• Support process improvement and industrialisation activities to enhance assembly efficiency.
• Handle and store tools, equipment and materials following lean practices.
• Analyse consumption trends, forecast inventory needs and prepare regular inventory reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to meet project timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in assembly or a related manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Capability to work safely in an onsite manufacturing environment.
