Assets Engineer (O&M) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Assets Engineer (Operations & Maintenance) to support asset management and O&M activities for infrastructure projects in the Al Dhafrah region. You will ensure accurate asset records, conduct condition assessments, and collaborate with O&M teams to keep assets compliant and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update asset registers in the Osool system, including tagging, coding, and classification.
• Perform field inspections, validate asset conditions, and produce condition and lifecycle assessment reports.
• Coordinate with O&M stakeholders to keep asset data current and aligned with management standards.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance planning, annual asset health forecasting, and replacement scheduling.
• Ensure new or updated assets are captured in the system and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Monitor progress of O&M works, follow up on closures, and report quality or timeline issues.
• Attend meetings with authorities, prepare progress reports, and produce technical documentation.
• Assist in assessments of structures and road assets while complying with HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of O&M experience in the UAE, covering bridges, underpasses, and road construction.
• Proven supervision and engineering support on major infrastructure projects in the Gulf.
• Strong knowledge of quality‑assurance specifications and statistical quality control.
• Familiarity with UAE municipality processes, preferably Abu Dhabi.
• Abu Dhabi practicing engineer registration preferred.
