Assistant Director of Sales – Leisure & MICE

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales – Leisure & MICE will lead revenue generation for the Voco Dubai property, focusing on leisure and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segments. You will develop and execute sales strategies that align with the hotel’s revenue targets while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify business trends and marketing opportunities to improve hotel performance.
• Collaborate with sales team members to maximise personal and team revenue goals.
• Conduct a minimum of five face‑to‑face sales calls per day.
• Analyse the Dubai market, competitor strengths, economic trends, and supply‑demand dynamics.
• Monitor segment and team productivity for Leisure and MICE.
• Actively sell hotel services through outside sales calls, telemarketing, entertainment, sales trips, FAM trips and trade shows.
• Negotiate and close business to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of rates, contracts, offers and promotions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel sales, preferably within leisure and MICE segments.
• Strong understanding of the Dubai hospitality market and competitor landscape.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable sales plans.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
