Assistant IT Manager – Dubai

About the role

TMC Middle East is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to lead and support a mature IT function in Dubai. The role combines strategic ownership with hands‑on work across infrastructure, systems and vendor relationships, ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast‑paced enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure on Linux and Windows Server platforms, including IIS and Apache web servers, network and security components.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of technology projects aligned with business objectives and ITIL governance.
• Manage third‑party vendor relationships, contracts and service level agreements.
• Administer and support the Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor IT team members, handle escalations and act as a liaison between IT and business leadership.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive IT management experience with a balance of technical delivery and team leadership.
• Strong hands‑on background in Linux, Windows Server, IIS and Apache.
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, PHP, C# or Java.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL‑aligned service management and IT governance.
• Proven vendor management experience and exposure to Microsoft Dynamics ERP in a corporate setting.
