Assistant IT Manager

About the role

The Assistant IT Manager will support the Director of Finance in overseeing the hotel’s IT operations, ensuring reliable technology services for guests and staff. This position plays a key role in maintaining system uptime and aligning IT initiatives with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily IT department activities and coordinate with the Regional IT Team for compliance and system updates.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical incidents affecting guests and internal users.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine checks, and hands‑on troubleshooting of network, hardware, and hospitality software.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, manuals and ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate closely with the IT Coordinator and other hotel departments to support seamless operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of IT experience in the hospitality sector.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Service‑oriented mindset with proactive problem‑solving skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

Required skills

• Experience with OPERA Cloud PMS.
• Familiarity with MICROS Simphony Cloud POS.
• Knowledge of Aruba networking equipment.
• Understanding of PBX telephone systems.
