Assistant Manager Accounts Payable

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable will support a multi‑entity finance function in Abu Dhabi, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations. You will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations and other internal stakeholders, maintaining strong financial controls and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Accounts Payable processes, from invoice receipt to payment posting.
• Verify supplier invoices, ensure supporting documentation, approvals and correct accounting treatment.
• Coordinate payment runs, monitor AP ageing, and provide regular liability reporting.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate disputes, and resolve outstanding items.
• Support AP activities across multiple entities, projects and business units.
• Maintain vendor onboarding controls, supplier master data and banking information changes.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, provisions and balance‑sheet schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT requirements, delegation of authority and internal financial policies.
• Prepare AP reports, ageing analysis and other management information.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Identify and drive improvements in AP processes, automation and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial controls.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across Finance, Procurement and Operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
