Assistant Manager – Finance (Emirati)

About the role

The position provides assistance in preparing budgets, management reports and financial statistics required by government ministries. It also involves supervising the accounts‑receivable ledger and ensuring timely reconciliation with the general ledger in line with company policies and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preparation of the accounts‑receivable ledger for the head office and issue timely statements to clients.
• Reconcile accounts‑receivable statements of head office, branches and chief agency with the general ledger, highlighting variances for corrective action.
• Assist the Finance Manager in gathering data for underwriting and financial reports for management decision‑making.
• Compile and submit financial and statistical reports to relevant government departments to meet statutory requirements.
• Review branch reports for financial accuracy and assign appropriate accounting entries.
• Maintain broker accounts, verify premium registers and identify variances for remediation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Emiratization with a valid Family Book.
• Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in banking or an insurance company.
• Residency in Sharjah or Dubai with immediate availability.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet agreed turnaround times.

Required skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive, self‑motivated attitude with capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
