Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage will lead the food services department of Corniche Hospital, ensuring that the dietary needs of patients, staff and visitors are met with high quality and safety standards. This role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight and close coordination with external catering contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and long‑term planning for the food services department.
• Supervise and monitor the catering contractor to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Prepare and submit the annual capital equipment budget and manage equipment maintenance.
• Oversee menu planning for patients, VIPs and cafeteria services, including special functions.
• Ensure hygiene, health and sanitation standards are consistently met.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and produce regular performance reports.
• Maintain accurate time‑keeping, staffing rotas and employee records.
• Handle customer complaints and promote high levels of satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Management, Clinical field or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• 4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in food services, preferably within a large healthcare facility.
