Assistant Manager - L&D and Quality

About the role

Meet with managers, department and division heads to discuss staffing needs, recruitment needs, open requisitions, and required/desirable qualifications. Develop learning strategies and plans with management based upon deficiencies identified in a Needs Assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with managers, department and division heads to discuss staffing and recruitment needs.
• Develop learning strategies and plans based on identified deficiencies.
• Design, develop, and produce training materials such as workbooks, manuals, brochures, job aids, and posters.
• Prepare training classes, including material setup and breakdown.
• Create interactive training in various formats.
• Conduct stand‑up training sessions for employee groups.
• Monitor departmental safety training and orientation compliance.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
• Follow company safety and security policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
