Assistant Manager NetZero

About the role

The Assistant Manager NetZero will lead the definition and delivery of the Expo City Dubai E&C division’s net‑zero strategy for the Terra Pavilion. You will own the full carbon perimeter of the building, covering electricity demand, renewable generation, fugitive emissions, water and waste, and turn operational data into actionable decisions and executive reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an energy baseline and consumption model per venue and system.
• Optimize BMS/IoT platforms with set‑point reviews, scheduling adjustments, alarm/FDD rule tuning and system integrations.
• Define, scope and prioritize energy conservation measures (ECMs) and energy‑saving initiatives (ESIs) with CAPEX/OPEX classification and ROI estimates.
• Commission periodic energy audits, document and monitor implemented measures.
• Report key performance indicators and track progress against net‑zero targets.
• Oversee performance monitoring of the Terra solar canopy and E‑Trees, manage yield reconciliation, performance ratio tracking and generation records for carbon accounting.
• Manage economic optimisation of panel cleaning frequency and coordinate O&M activities with facilities management.
• Identify and implement optimisation opportunities such as shading assessments, inverter performance improvements and innovative cleaning approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in sustainability, energy management or related fields.
• Proven track record in managing building‑level carbon footprints and renewable energy assets.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
• Experience working with BMS, IoT platforms and energy audit processes.
