Assistant Manager Public Sector – Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) engagements for public‑sector and government‑related clients in the UAE. You will manage project delivery, advise on risk and compliance frameworks, and support the transformation of public‑sector governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver GRC and internal audit engagements, overseeing planning, fieldwork, quality reviews and reporting.
• Design and assess governance frameworks, risk registers, risk appetite models and support enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Conduct compliance assessments against UAE/GCC regulations, international standards (e.g., COSO, IIA) and develop ethics, delegation of authority and performance monitoring frameworks.
• Supervise and coach junior team members, review their work and manage resource planning across multiple engagements.
• Support business development by drafting proposals, contributing to thought leadership and identifying opportunities within public‑sector accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in GRC, internal audit or risk advisory.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CPA or ACCA are preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO certifications (ISO 31000, ISO 22301, ISO 27001) is an advantage.
