Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations will manage the day‑to‑day running of Al Tayer Group’s warehouse in Dubai. The role covers the full product cycle from receipt to storage, order fulfilment and distribution, with a focus on efficiency, cost control and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the annual warehouse plan and manage the associated budget, monitoring performance and taking corrective action.
• Develop and enforce work processes and flows to ensure compliance with logistics policies and minimise overtime.
• Review and optimise department workflows and job responsibilities for efficient operations.
• Oversee product tracking, route analysis and re‑routing recommendations to optimise space and floor operations.
• Manage disposal of expired or obsolete goods while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate the full order cycle through to fulfilment and continuously improve the customer experience.
• Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions and monitor quality, quantity and operational cost.
• Identify and propose warehouse‑operation improvement opportunities and review processes from a risk‑management perspective.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong people‑management capabilities, able to lead and develop warehouse staff.
• Ability to manage budgets, monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Analytical mindset for route optimisation, inventory control and process improvement.
• Knowledge of health‑ and safety and risk‑management practices in a warehouse setting.
