Assistant Prosecutor – Criminal Cases

About the role

The Assistant Prosecutor supports the prosecution team in handling criminal cases across the Emirate of Dubai. This full‑time position involves conducting investigations, preparing legal documents, and representing the public prosecution before the courts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interrogate suspects, hear witnesses, and coordinate expert delegations.
• Prepare and issue arrest and search warrants, pre‑trial detention orders, and release orders.
• Draft and file criminal complaints, manage case files, and ensure proper disposal of seized assets.
• Represent the prosecution in court hearings, plead cases, and refer matters to competent courts when evidence is sufficient.
• Respond to inquiries from police stations, auditors, and the public, and prepare inspection reports for detention facilities.
• Decide on the opening of criminal reports, handle grievances, and review requests from prosecutors and auditors.

Required profile

• UAE citizenship with a clean reputation and character.
• Age between 21 and 28 years, medically fit, and completion of national service (for males).
• University degree in law with a minimum “Good” GPA from a recognized institution.
• Valid English language certificate (TOEFL 500 or IELTS 5).
• Successful completion of all required tests and interviews.

• Strong knowledge of criminal law and prosecution procedures.
• Ability to conduct legal investigations and prepare court documents.
• Proficiency in drafting legal reports and issuing warrants.
• Effective oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
