Assistant Resident Engineer (I&C)

About the role

KN International is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer (I&C) to oversee infrastructure services in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring quality execution, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate pumping stations, fluid‑mechanics systems and related M&E works to meet project specifications and local regulations.
• Supervise contractor activities, enforce safety standards, and manage quality‑control procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, and technical queries for mechanical and electrical scopes.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Review material approvals, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings, providing technical input.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure services, preferably in the UAE.
• Experience with main pumping stations, 33 kV substations and transmission networks.
• Familiarity with TRANSCO or TAQA processes; TRANSCO approval preferred.
• Proven track record in construction supervision, quality control and contract administration.
