Assistant Restaurant Manager - BWT Sports Bar

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the day‑to‑day operations of the BWT Sports Bar, ensuring seamless service and a welcoming environment for guests. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will act as a role model for the team and help maintain the high standards expected at JW Marriott.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect grooming, attire, and overall presentation of team members.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing the venue.
• Maintain storage areas using FIFO principles and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct inventories, stock requisitions, and monitor supply levels.
• Oversee dining room seating, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and report incidents.

• Strong team‑leadership abilities with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Attention to detail in appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including extended periods standing or walking.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of inventory management and FIFO storage.
• Familiarity with restaurant opening/closing procedures.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb without assistance.
