Assistant Safety Officer

About the role

As an Assistant Safety Officer at Accor Hotels in Dubai, you will help protect guests and staff by monitoring safety conditions, conducting inspections, and supporting the implementation of safety protocols. You will work closely with the security team and the Head of Safety to maintain a safe environment across all hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations throughout the property.
• Develop and recommend measures to ensure personnel safety.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and enforce preventative actions.
• Support the Head of Safety in organizing occupational health and safety (OHS) training for employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and work practices to identify non‑conformities, such as improper use of protective equipment.
• Stop unsafe acts or processes and record incidents for root‑cause analysis.
• Investigate incidents and advise on corrective measures.
• Communicate safety information and provide assistance to various departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a hotel environment (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commitment to exceeding guest expectations and maintaining high safety standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems operation.
• Understanding of refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with fire‑fighting system components.
